All information about the company is archived electronically. Unwanted incidents and deviations from the procedure are logged on our intranet using web-enabled mobile devices. These procedures allow Global Asian Petroleum to maintain an optimal HSE system that is always up to date and available online from anywhere in the world.

The functioning of the refinery is associated with increased requirements for industrial fire safety of production, as well as labor protection. Implementation of organizational and technical measures aimed at prevention of emergency situations, reduction of consequences and preparedness for their localization allows to limit the level of risk both for employees of Global Asian Petroleum and for the population within acceptable limits.

Global Asian Petroleum prioritizes employee and contractor health and safety, and we foster a proactive health and safety culture inside the organization. QHSE training and practices are rigorous and held to a high international standard. There are activities at the Global Asian Petroleum that could result in a lot of injuries. In Turkmenistan, there were two (2) lost time events involving Global Asian Petroleum employees and one of the contractors in 2022. In accordance with our HSE protocols, all incidences were investigated, their causes recognized, and remedial action plans developed.

HSE Leadership, Communication and Awareness

In 2022, the Contractor HSE Performance Process was distributed to all Contract Owners and C&P, and every day when they log in, a pop-up window with a safety notification from the QHSE department displays on their screens, and HSE Posters were printed and put in all visible locations. Monthly QHSE Reports are prepared and given to all company employees in order to communicate HSE Performance.

HSE Rules

The safety program started in 2021 and was extended in 2023. Our Guidelines establish the key safety criteria for the Global Asian Petroleum and are based on international best practices in the oil and gas industry, as well as a review of incident statistics. The Hazard Identification Program has been fully implemented at the Global Asian Petroleum and Contractors. Via this program, any employee can report hazardous issues in the workplace, comment on safe or dangerous employee behavior, and make suggestions for HSE development.

The impact of equipment failure on related risk is used to establish the optimum maintenance strategy type versus the criticality of the equipment. Maintenance can be prioritized and essential systems can be reported on in the event of a resource shortage. Devices, equipment, or systems that are required to keep process conditions within safe operating limits or whose function is to keep the process from failing are referred to as safety critical elements.
